Definitions consist of pairs of definition terms and definition descriptions. In HTML they are called definition lists.
Definition terms are usually left-aligned with the body text. Definition descriptions are indented. The amount of indentation depends on the length of the definition terms. Usually an indentation of 1-1.5" (25-38 mm) is used.
Definition lists should be restricted to one level.
The space before and after a definition should be the same as the space recommended for block paragraphs.
Definition descriptions may have additional elements, such as lists and definition continuations.
