Locations: Columbus, Ohio. Other UI Designer positions also available in Virginia as well as in the San Francisco, CA bay area.

Compensation: Competitive Hourly Rate (to be disclosed shortly).

Position Description: Involved in User Interface design and User Research. Design and development process flows, wireframes, screening and specifications. Will work closely with the Director of UI design, team of UI designers, as well as with Art Directors who support the Visual Design aspect. This position also works with clients in defining the UI issues.

Requirements:

  • B.S. degree or equivalent with 6 + years related UI Design experience.
  • Experience designing online and consumer software product interfaces.
  • Expert in the analysis of tasks flows & interfaces from a usability perspective.
  • Experience creating hi-level product flows, navigation maps & screen layouts.
  • Familiar with industry standard design tools
  • Experience using extensive background in user interface, product and multimedia design, knowledge of prototyping and multiple platforms to develop software interfaces.
  • Ability to interface with key client and project owners, UI designers and production and publishing team members in order to translate design concepts into viable solutions.

Complete Description:

UI Designer will be involved in User Interface design and User Research areas for Company products and services. Your eye for consistency and drive for simplicity will allow us to deliver clean, easy to use and functional web applications/sites for consumers.

As a Senior UI Designer based in Columbus, OH, you will be assigned to a variety of projects where you work on a broad range of activities centered on User Interface and User Research issues such as the design and development of process flows, wireframes, and screen specifications. You will work with your Director of User Interface design, other UI designers as well as with Art Directors who support the Visual Design aspect. You will also work closely with clients defining the User Interface problems, and assist in the development of the requirements documents and translate the project needs into practical strategies that support business and programming objectives. We're seeking a Bachelor's degree (Masters, Fine Arts preferred) or equivalent experience and 6+ years related experience. Proven hands-on experience leading project work and interfacing with business owners in to your creative UI Design skills and User Research knowledge will ensure your success in this outstanding career opportunity.

Technical Excellence:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 6+ years related experience. Minimum of 4 years experience in designing online and consumer software product interfaces.
