You will be developing highly user-friendly applications for Nokia's next-generation wireless handheld devices. You will create the look and feel of new and exciting wireless applications through applying user centered design and Human Factors Engineering principles. Your responsibilities will include developing user interface specifications that result in a rich and compelling user experience. You will participate in all stages of the iterative design lifecycle; from developing use cases, identifying user needs, conducting user task analysis, and designing user interfaces, to evaluating designs through participation in usability testing. You will be expected to contribute to a highly collaborative and enthusiastic team of usability and Human Factors professionals, dedicated to representing the needs of end users while producing cutting-edge products.
Specifically, this position requires applying user interface concepts to design features for smart/mobile phones. The individual will maintain user interface specifications for CDMA features and work with marketing (and other team members) to manage feature lists for CDMA products. This person will be responsible for integrating change requests and requirements into the user interface, while adhering to the standard Nokia look and feel. Candidates must have effective verbal and written communication skills and experience working with people from varied disciplines (marketing, software engineers, localizers, etc.).
