Location: Boise, ID. These are full-time positions on-site in Boise ID (telecommuting is not an option for these positions).

The KOHL Group has openings for Human Factors Engineers and Usability Specialists to support our team currently providing User Centered Design and Testing services to our client in Boise, ID. Our client is a world leader in the development of printing and imaging systems - they are inventing and expanding technologies into new areas in commercial printing and photo finishing - developing smarter cameras, video projectors, 3D imaging, enhanced device connectivity and other technologies for innovative imaging applications.
Work closely with product designers and process engineers developing web-based support systems to champion and integrate user-centered design principles into the systems development life cycle. Perform task analysis and customer field studies to generate web design concepts, user interface requirements, and prototypes. Support the development of usable web content. Work with team to develop usability goals and testing programs. Design and oversee usability studies, focus groups, contextual inquiries, and heuristic evaluations. Analyze test data and present findings and recommendations to product team. Requirements: Advanced degree, or equivalent experience, in cognitive and/or experimental psychology or human factors engineering. User centered design and testing experience with web-centric systems. Skilled in developing prototypes with varying levels of fidelity and behavior.
Work closely with HFEs to conduct and administer usability tests. Includes interfacing with and providing guidance to participant recruiting resources; reviewing screeners, user research, questionnaires, and scenarios with HFE; coordination of test participants; set up testing lab; interview subjects and collect data; and format and interpret data to compile reports. Requirements: Degree, or equivalent experience, in experimental and/or cognitive psychology or human factors engineering. Strong people skills with attention to project detail and timelines. Experience moderating focus groups and/or usability tests is desirable.
