Location: Headquarters in Cary, North Carolina and regional positions in Chicago and San Diego
Experience and Education Required: 3 years/Bachelor's Degree; 2 years Master's Degree
Travel Required: Approximately 20%
We are seeking multiple enthusiastic and qualified Human Factors ("HF") practitioners to augment the existing team of strong in-house HF staff. Our clients include companies in the areas of high-tech consumer electronics, medical devices and health-related fields, ground transportation, financial services, software and web development, and consumer products. A well-rounded HF practitioner will work closely with clients to infuse human factors principles into products, devices, and systems being designed. In addition, s/he will conduct competitive analyses, heuristic analyses, and formative and summative usability testing of various soft and hard interfaces. This position requires a classically trained, experienced HF Engineer, HF Specialist, or similar who is a self-motivated HF practitioner with excellent time management skills, excellent design skills, and strong presentation skills. Some travel is an exciting part of this position and experience with consulting is a plus. Experience in mobile phone UI design is a strong plus.
