Description

Care2 is looking for an experienced User Experience Designer to join our rapidly growing User Experience team. As a designer at Care2, you will:

  • Lead the design of intuitive, usable, and engaging products that support customer needs and business goals
  • Work with talented engineers to build innovative designs using advanced Web technologies
  • Work on interfaces that range from large-scale social networking services to smaller core tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design effort from conceptualization through implementation. Translate user requirements into highly usable Web applications in partnership with Product Management.
  • Design wireframes and prototypes to effectively communicate interactions to internal executive stakeholders and project team members.
  • Conduct informal usability studies of prototypes and existing products.
  • Collaborate with branding/marketing and visual design specialists to support the visual style
  • Create, document, and evangelize new user interface guidelines and standards. -Ensure a consistent look and feel across the applications. Elevate the design of our site to a consistently high standard of user-centered design

Required Skills

  • 5-7 years of user experience design including at least 4 years of interaction design experience for large-scale websites or social networks.
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design or equivalent experience.
  • Strong interaction design skills and proven ability to create usable designs
  • Demonstrable web UI design skills with ability to show relevant work
  • In-depth knowledge of design tools including Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • In-depth knowledge of user-centered design methods and best practices
  • Independent self-starter with ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with product managers, graphics designers, usability specialists, and others
