Direct the User Interface design and User Research area for CompuServe, Netscape.com, AIM Today and WalMart Connect. Your eye for consistency and fanatical drive for simplicity will allow us to deliver clean, easy to use and functional web applications/sites for consumers. You will possess complete understanding of the overall vision of a product area. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of applications/web sites that affect millions of consumers. As our UI Director based in Columbus, OH, your first mission will be to plan, direct and lead a broad range of activities centered on User Interface and User Research issues such as the design and development of screens and screen graphics for our products and services. You will work with your Director in tandem on the implementation of User Interface and the research to support solutions across a wide area of products/services, as well as work with Art Directors who support the Visual Design aspect. You will assist the Director of Design to define the vision for products on Netscape.com, CompuServe, AIM Today and WalMart Connect, and develop and uphold style guidelines. You will lead specified group in the development and implementation of high quality, interactive User Interface designs across several areas. Your creativity will constantly seek state-of-the-art approaches and practices within and outside our organization. You will also work closely with clients defining the User Interface problems, and assist in the development of the requirements documents and translate the project needs into practical strategies that support business and programming objectives. We're seeking a Bachelor 's degree (Masters, Fine Arts preferred) or equivalent experience and 8+ years related experience. Proven management experience directing and coordinating across functional teams in addition to your creative UI Design skills and User Research knowledge will ensure your success in this outstanding career opportunity!
